Labor Law, Social Security Law, and Public Employment
BAS comprises a team of lawyers with consolidated experience and in-depth knowledge in various areas of Labor Law, providing ongoing, preventive and reactive advice to national and international companies in all fields of labor relations and sectors of economic activity.
In the area of Labor and Social Security Law, BAS professionals, in coordination with the Human Resources departments and decision-making bodies of their clients, primarily seek to ensure that these entities conduct their activities in accordance with applicable labor regulations, as well as in the structuring of their human resources policy.
Currently, the practice of Labor Law is distinguished by its high level of specialization, involving transversal knowledge, particularly in the restructuring of companies, the definition of remuneration policies and hiring models, and advising, among other things, on disciplinary procedures, labor audits, and collective disputes in accordance with social security regulations.
In this area, BAS professionals are heavily involved in litigation in the context of labor and social security disputes, as well as in challenging administrative infractions in labor and social security matters.
This area of practice includes lawyers who have been consistently recognized nationally and internationally for their excellence in their work.
Also within the scope of this department is the advisory role regarding Public Employment.
Public Employment Law (often still referred to as Civil Service Law) has undergone profound changes in recent years, both through the laborization of the public employment relationship and through attempts to retain this relationship within the framework of public law. This consolidation process has been accompanied by the professionals at BAS, who possess a high degree of specialization, including academic expertise, and in-depth knowledge and information on these matters, and are therefore able to provide advice to both entities and individuals to whom the public employment regime applies.
The BAS legal team has extensive experience advising clients in the area of public employment and sponsors actions aimed at resolving disputes that arise in this context.
